President Mnangagwa donates ambulance to African Reformed Church

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has donated an ambulance to the African Reformed Church led by Bishop Rungano Zvobgo.

Capacitating the health sector to improve service delivery remains a key priority for the second republic.

This has seen the government constructing modern health facilities across the country while others are being capacitated through the provision of ambulances and modern equipment.

President Mnangagwa is taking the lead after donating an ambulance to the Masvingo-based Reformed African Church.

President Mnangagwa noted, “I am donating this ambulance to the African Reformed Church, which is one of the African churches founded by Baba Va Rungano Va Jonasi, when I went there when he was ordained as the bishop I donated this ambulance.”

The ambulance was handed over to Bishop Zvobgo at State House in Harare this Monday.

Bishop Zvobgo said, “People were struggling when they needed assistance. This comes in very handy for our people. Those who needed assistance had to use public transport, we can now ferry people and this makes a huge difference to the lives of our people.”

President Mnangagwa is on record, stressing the importance of adequate resource allocation to all sectors including the health subdivision.

The 2023 budget saw the health sector being allocated over ZWL$400 billion.
