Tamy Moyo gets Afrimma nomination again

Zimbabwean music superstar Tamy Moyo is excited after being nominated for the Best Female Southern Africa at the AFRIMA AWARDS. Taking to social media to announce the good news Tamy wrote:

”So your girl wakes up to a second Afrimma nomination this morning”.

Tamy was previously nominated in the category of Best Female Artiste in Southern Africa. She will be competing against the likes of Ammara Brown, Nadia Nakai Zonke among others.

Most fans congratulated Tamy for such an achievement and wished her well. Indeed the young artist has been making waves both locally and internationally. Her awesome, colourful videos and melodious voice have become a signature style in modern culture. Tamy started off the year on a high note with a sterling perfomance at the Coke Studio in Kenya.

She later on released the famous Kwandinobva video which became an instant hit. Tamy clearly invests a lot of time, effort and money into her work as evidenced by the quality of her music and videos. She also recently appeared on The Morning show in South Africa. The cheerful artist has been touring the world and leaving a lasting impression on all her shows. Not only is she a good singer but an accomplished dancer as well.

This year saw Tamy hosting her own concert titled The Tamy experience. She roped in Ammara Brown and Gemma Griffiths to support her on stage. Most people have their hopes high that Tamy will bag the two awards.

Zimdacehall president Winky D (real name Wallace Chirumiko) recently scooped the Best African Dancehall Entertainer Award at the Global Reggae and World Music Awards, he is up for another award.

While back in Zimbabwe, Winky D is under attack, he, however, continues to earn global recognition following his nomination for the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) 2023 set to be held in Dallas, Texas on September 17. Read More
