ZCTU warns of impending mass protests. The Zimbabwe Congress Of Trade Unions has warned the government that it will soon roll out mass protests to force the government to listen to workers’ plights Daily News reports.

….as an agitated Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) warned yesterday that it would soon call for rolling mass actions, to protest the government’s lack of care about the worsening plight of Zimbabweans.

ZCTU leaders who have in the past called for protests were threatened with bullets by suspected state agents. The ZCTU called the explosive January protest that saw security agents killing over a dozen civilians.
