Zimbos react to ED’s US$1 million pledge to Global Fund

Zimbos react to ED’s US$1 million pledge to Global Fund. President Emmerson Mnangagwa made the announcement during his address at the 6th Replenishment Conference organised by the Global Fund Forum in Lyon, France, which seeks to raise US$14 billion to fight HIV & TB.
At a time when Zimbabwe is facing a myriad of economic and social problems, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has brazenly pledged US$1 million to the Global Fund.
The country is currently experiencing its worst economic crisis in a decade, seen in triple-digit inflation, cash, medicines and fuel shortages that have evoked the dark days of the 2008 hyperinflation.
Following the announcement, Zimbabweans took to social media to vent out their frustrations towards the 77-year-old leader who took over after the late Robert Mugabe was deposed in a coup in November 2017.
Below are some of the reactions.
He has the nerve. Apa back home doctors are crying for a better wage. He is busy being father Christmas in a foreign country in October. What did we do as Zimbabweans to be going through this honestly
