Former AU Ambassador speaks after being recalled for exposing France. The former ambassador of the African Union (AU) to the United States, Arikana Chihombori-Quao has spoken after she was recalled by the current chairperson of the AU for reportedly exposing France’s continued colonisation of Africa through its Pact for the continued colonisation of Africa.

She said that France is collecting US$500 billion every year from its former African colonies. She added that France’s conduct was a violation of human rights which should

be condemned by every progressive organisation and she marvels at the silence of the United Nations and the international community.

She also links the poverty in Africa to the 1884 Berlin Conference.
