Bloomberg reports that the electricity producer recently invited bids for a roof-top solar power at its head office to counter power cuts. In a shocking development, struggling power utility, ZESA, which is accountable for the crippling power crisis in the country which has seen some areas enduring 16-hour power cuts, is going off the grid.
According to a Government Gazette published Nov. 22, Solar panels may also be installed at Zesa’s provincial offices. Zesa’s spokesperson Fullard Gwasira confirmed the development.
