Tammy Slaton charged with marijuana and drug possession

1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has been charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession in Kentucky, according to reports. On August 4, the 37-year-old reality television star was charged with one count of possession of marijuana, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to court documents obtained by the US Sun.

A Sturgis police officer responded to the call and now the former TLC star is set to appear in court on August 31st for her arraignment. Tammy was also issued a pre-trial conference set for October 5 but it was optional for her to attend. This pre-trial conference determines if the defense and prosecution have come to an agreement on a guilty plea.

After the bust, Tammy will now need to deal with the repercussions of the charge during her ongoing trial as she participates in season 5 of 1000-Pound Sisters. It has not yet been revealed if Tammy’s trial will be featured in the season, which was reported to have began filming on September 30th. The Mirror has reached out to Tammy’s representatives and the Union Shrieff’s Office for comment regarding the incident.

The incident occurred only five days following her late husband Caleb Willingham’s funeral. During the intimate gathering, Tammy was seemingly brought to tears as she celebrated the life of her former lover whom she married in November 2022. Caleb tragically passed away at the start of July at the age of 40 years old. Caleb’s cause of death has not been revealed by his family or ex-wife.

In a heartbreaking statement given to People magazine, Tammy shared her immense grief following Caleb’s death and said: “I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was not only my beloved spouse but also my closest confidant and dearest friend. The depth of my love for him knows no bounds.”

Tammy is well-recognized for her role in 1000-lb Sisters, a reality television series on TLC that highlights the personal day-to-day lives of Amy Slaton-Halterman and her sister Tammy Slaton in Dixon, Kentucky as they attempt to lose weight. New episodes of the show will be released in December, including footage of her wedding with Caleb, according to an announcement from Tammy.
