Madirirano venue change explained

Madirirano venue change explained. This time around Madirirano is expected to be held at Alexandra Sports Club because their usual venue, Takashinga Cricket Ground in Highfield was booked for cricket on the day. Organisers of Madirirano say they have not moved the concept away from the ghetto despite changing the venue for the forthcoming edition set for December 21.

Show promoter Simbarashe “Bodyslam” Chakare said they had no option but to look for another venue that suited the concept and big numbers and Alexandra Pak was their option.

“We will never move Madirirano from Highfield but this time around we had no option as there will be cricket taking place on December 21, so we had to look for another venue that can hold big numbers and our set up and our option was Alexandra Sports Club.

“We had already set our dates for December 21 and we could not change just because our venue was booked for cricket, so we looked for a venue option. “The next Madirirano after this one will be held in Highfield so there is no need for people to worry.”

Chakare said the decision of venue change is a blessing in disguise for others that could not make it to the previous editions in Highfield. “It’s a blessing in disguise for others that could not make their way to Highfield in the previous events, now they can make it to the event and get to enjoy and know what Madirirano is all about and perhaps from this event they can start coming to Highfield.

“Nothing about our concept has changed but just the venue change, everything remains the same. “Preparations are going well and we look forward to great event as usual come December 21,” added Chakare.

Jamaican dancehall singer Mr Easy is set to headline this edition of Madirirano and will be supported with an array of local acts that include Tocky Vibes, songbird Allanah, Judgement Yard, Templeman and Garry B, dj Mbale, DJ Naida, Mis Vee, DJ Blaze, DJ Simshow and emcees Chamvary, Big Dollar Bruce and Regoman among many others.
