Mambo Dhutetere’s January 1 big test. He is billed to share the stage with Pastor Charles Charamba, Mathias Mhere and Michael Mahendere among others for the charity show dubbed Worship Experience, courtesy of Kayse Connect. The fundraising gig is expected to benefit children who are admitted at the District Outreach for Care and Support (DOCAS) in Odzi who are suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
Most sought after gospel musician, Mambo Dhuterere, is set to test a big stage on January 1 at the Harare International Conference Centre when he shares the stage with top gospel artistes.
So far the Mweya Ndisesekedze singer has performed during crusades and other small shows in the country. “It will be my first big show in Zimbabwe and I am looking forward to charm music lovers at a big venue. “Pandinofamba pese I will be hearing my songs and it gives me a zeal to continue doing better.
“People should come in their numbers because we will be singing songs almost the same as it is on the CDs,” he said. Mambo Dhuterere encouraged people to participate in charity work. “It should sink in people’s mind that they need to participate in charity work.
“On January 1, we are holding a fundraising gig which is set to benefit less privileged people. “I am yet to know much about the disease, the promoter is the one who told me about it and I am still researching about it. “I have done songs like Dare Guru and Ahuwerere among others which encourages people to be involved in charity.”
He added: “I have recently started a charity organisation Dhuterere Movement which is expected to benefit less privileged people. “It’s a charity fund to help others.” Asked how he is managing women and fame he said: “I am always with my wife and kana munhu usingafambe uchicheuka cheuka you will not have a problem.
“So to me I have no problem I am a married man and I respect my wife.” Mambo Dhuterere also promised to deliver interesting songs in 2020 and an album sometime in August. “I am giving the latest album to penetrate the music market and next year I will have several singles. “I am also open for collaborations.”
