Mary Chiwenga hiding from journalists as she enters prisons van – Video. The ex-model will be spending Christmas behind bars after she was denied bail following a slew of charges including attempted murder. Mary was arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission on Saturday night amid charges of externalizing foreign currency and money laundering.

Embattled VP Chiwenga’s ex-wife Mary Chiwenga nee Mubaiiwa was forced to hide her face from the cameras as the world witnessed her fall from grace. VP Chiwenga also accused Marry of causing prejudice to his good administration and reputation by attempting to fake a solemnized marriage between them.

ZACC seize Marry Chiwenga’s 3 minor children. Marry Mubaiwa, the estranged wife of Vice President Chiwenga was on Monday morning formally placed on remand on the charge of attempting to kill her husband, the Vice President.

Marry was remanded in custody to December 30, 2019, for routine remand. The Harare regional court advised her to apply for bail at the High Court which has jurisdiction over such third schedule offences.
