Jah Prayzah speaks on allegations of singing Zanu PF praising songs. Mukudzeyi Mukombe (born July 4, 1987), who performs under the name Jah Prayzah, is a Zimbabwean contemporary musician and lead member of the band Third Generation. He is popularly referred to by fans and media as “Musoja”, the Shona word for “soldier”, a name he earned mostly because of his signature band uniform of military regalia.
The name “Jah Prayzah” comes from his name, “Mukudzeyi”, which means “Praise Him”. Now the singer is in trouble after a social media platform revealed that he Jah Prayzah sings songs that praise the Ruling Party Zanu PF. This is not new as songs such as Mdara Vachauya was once used by the Current President Mnangagwa and also Kutonga Kwaro. This has been happening in the past and it seems his critics want to use it against him. He denied the accusations and remain saying his music is strictly no-political.
The same can be said about Winky D also whose songs are often translated to shaming Zanu PF. Recently there was much drama towards the launch of his latest album Njema after the government was allegedly involved in planning to ban the launch of the album.
