Warriors vice-captain Alec Mudimu is confident of his teammates to deliver in their back to back encounter against Algeria in the AFCON qualifiers. “There’s a special group of players in the national team at the moment and I’m sure the new manager will add more as well to make sure the national team has every good chance of qualifying, “he said.

Mudimu predicts a tough game but is hoping of a positive result and has pleaded for support from the 12th man which is the supporters.

“Of course it’s a very tough game for the national team. But I expect a lot of discipline throughout, confidence and character for the team regardless there is more than enough in the squad to produce results.

“Yes, we need the love and continued support of all our fans we proved our critics wrong when we qualified for Afcon in the previous campaign. “And we have to stay strong and fully focused on the prize of qualifying again. The support always go very far for us players and it’s an amazing job that they do,” he said.

The former Cefn Druids player says has promised good leadership skills if given a chance to be part of the team and also chance to play. “Given the opportunity, I want to bring leadership, heart and organization.

“I feel it will be a very tough battle so all the players need to play their part in the game of course and make sure concentration is at its highest from start to finish,” he said.

The 24-year-old who joined Sherriff from Cefn last year also spoke about his experience at the new club. “The new club is great. We are well underway with pre-season now coming to the end of it with only a few weeks left.

“Personally I feel I’m in great shape and I can’t wait for the campaign to begin so I can show the manager what I’m capable of doing and being to win games,” he said.
