President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s office under quarantine after Zororo Makamba visit. This comes after the death of Covid-19 patient, Zororo Makamba, who reportedly visited the offices last week before testing positive. Makamba died on Monday from the coronavirus.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Presidential spokesperson George Charamba has revealed that the President’s office is under quarantine as a preventative measure against the menace of coronavirus (Covid-19) which is currently plaguing countries world over.
George Charamba confirmed that Makamba visited the offices of the president before he tested positive for coronavirus. He also added that the government had taken certain precautionary measures to curb the outbreak as according to recommendations by health officials. Speaking to Zimpapers Television Network (ZTN), Charamba said:
Well, yes, I must confirm that Zororo, the late departed actually paid a visit to both the ministry of finance as well as the office of the president and cabinet. In the course of that visit, he came in contact with three staff members from our office and these have since been put on a 21-day quarantine apart from other measures that the medical team has recommended, but I could also advise you that on Sunday, this last Sunday, our offices were fumigated for purposes of ensuring there is decontamination.
