Woman rams into a supermarket. …blames COVID-19. A 41-year-old woman who rammed her vehicle into Food World shop along Jason Moyo Avenue yesterday said the mishap occurred as she is always thinking of the deadly COVID-19.
Placida Chivandire was still to comprehend how her Toyota Hilux (AEC 9208) rammed into the shop and nearly ran over one of the till operators.
“I am licensed to drive but I was shocked to find my vehicle next to the till operator. I do not know how it happened,” said Chivandire.
“I spent almost two hours waiting for my husband after shopping in this shop and I thought I had engaged a reverse gear when it wasn’t and ended up in this accident.
“Zve COVID-19 zviri kungotivhiringa saka maybe ndozvimwe zvacho zvakonzeresa wrong gear nezvimwewo zvinoitika muupenyu,” said Chivandire.
