Has Man United finalised deal with Jadon Sancho – Spanish Report. Manchester United have won the race to sign Jadon Sancho and already have a deal in place to sign him, according to Sport.

Manchester United have agreed a deal to shatter their club record, claims a report in Spain, while Chelsea are well down the line in talks for a Brazil star, according to Monday’s Euro Paper Talk.

The Spanish paper claims the Red Devils have beaten off late interest from Barcelona to sign the Borussia Dortmund winger in what will be a club-record deal.

Dortmund are reported to be seeking €130m (£116.2m) for Sancho and that United will agree to meet their asking price, most likely with a sizeable downpayment and the rest made up in installments and bonus-related add-ons. According to Sport, and via Sport Witness, United have ‘managed to convince’ Sancho to sign for them ‘despite the fact that the agreement has not yet been made official’.

Reports that United already have an agreement in place will be music to the ears of supporters, who will believe Sancho is the man who can take the club onto the next level and give their attack a serious lift ahead of the new season.

It was indicated over the weekend that Sancho would only join United were the club be able to bring Champions League football back to Old Trafford – and while their hopes have been lifted by an upturn in form and in light of Man City’s European ban – the report in Spain will only enhance their hopes that the 20-year-old will complete a move to the Red Devils in due course.

The news appears to go hand-in-hand with reports last week that stated Sancho had already given United a concrete ‘yes’ over the prospective transfer. And another recent report suggested Sancho had three reasons for wanting to complete a move to Old Trafford.

Pep Guardiola’s side will still pocket 15% of any fee Dortmund receive for the Sancho, and it is partially in that knowledge that has forced the Bundesliga club to take a strong stance on their asking price for the player and seek what will be a club-record fee paid and received for both United and Dortmund. Their chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke insisted last week that if a deal was to be done for Sancho, it will be on the Bundesliga outfit’s terms only.

Watzke told Bild: “You always have to respect what the player wants. “We said before coronavirus that our favourite idea is that Jadon will stay with us. “I can say that even the very rich clubs, despite the existing crisis, don’t believe they can go on a bargain tour with us.

“We don’t have to sell anyone below value.”
