Zimdancehall star Nutty O reflects on his career. The youthful singer has not only charmed big names or performed on big stages but has also proved his mettle locally and internationally. Dancehall artiste Nutty O reckons he has come of age and is ready to drop his debut album.
Last month, Nutty O and Ghanaian star Stonebwoy announced they were working on a collabo which is due for release anytime soon. “This is a game-changer for me as I continue with my musical journey into Africa’s elite group.
“I am excited that a big collaboration is coming up and also taking the same time to announce plans to release my debut album,” said Nutty O. Stonebwoy and Nutty O are also keen to release their song together with a video here in the country.
“It’s a promise we are going to release the song and video in Zimbabwe when I come there, let’s make it happen,” said Stonebowy in a recent interview. In his words, the Ghanaian singer is pushing for anything the world can use to fight the novel virus hence. As for the Boom Shelele singer, his forthcoming project will join dancehall, ghetto life and Afrobeats in spreading of love and unity post-COVID-19.
Nutty O has over the years featured on Jamaican riddims including the Bad Cologne and was recently endorsed by Pato Ranking. Amongst Nutty O’s achievements are two collaborations with Jamaican songbird Ettana, the album was last year nominated for a Grammy Award.
The chanter was the first Zimbabwean artiste to be featured on Dj Edu’s Afrodancehall show on BBC 1xtra with his track “Kwandabva Kure”.
