Tendai Mtawarira has yet to clarify his future in Major League Rugby, but a recent announcement suggests his playing career may now be at an end. ‘The Beast’ has been appointed CEO of Umlindi Security, a new company under the umbrella of Fidelity Security Group.


Fidelity is one of the largest security firms in Africa, staffing over 36,000 in 82 branches across the southern areas of the continent. For the last 9 years Mtawarira has been employed as a brand ambassador for the company.


To help prepare him for his new move into business, Mtawarira has enrolled in an MBA program through the Henley Business School. Fidelity CEO Wahl Bartmann says that in addition to running Umlindi he will also remain active with its parent company.
