Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) went on a rampage and razed to the ground people’s homes following accusations they had been built too close to the Heroes Acre, Zimbabwe Daily has learnt.
This came after the Harare City Councill had issued a warning sometime last year about the developments read the statement below…
Harare City Council has warned members of the public about an impending demolition of “illegal structures” erected between the National Heroes Acre and Belvedere West. The local government authority warned:
There is a group that is fleecing residents on the area between the National Heroes Acre and Belvedere West. The group has created 92 illegal housing stands. That area is reserved for the extension of Harare Drive.
Council has a court order to demolish illegal structures on that stretch of land. Buying land there is obviously a waste of resources as the structures will soon be brought down. Act now. Demand your money back.
