Algeria beat warriors 3 – 1. Zimbabwe Warriors were thumped 3 – 1 by the African Champions in Algies as Riyad Mahrez scored in the process. The Warriors seemed to have started the match on a positive note with Tino Kadewere heading over the bar a clear header.

In the second half Zimbabwe started well again but faded as the game proceeded as Algeria found a breakthrough their captain Riyad Mahrez again. Mahrez with some brilliant work as he beats three markers before lofting the ball over the advancing Shumba to make it three for Algeria.

Kadewere, however, scored a consolation goal the third time he got a chance to score.  Kadewere beats an offside trap and chips the ball over the keeper to pull one back for Zim. But the damage had been done already.
