Zimbabwe’s own Zodwa Wabantu NUST student pens 2 motivational books. Vivica who was given the Zodwa Wabantu moniker after she turned up for lectures dressed in what many deemed indecent clothing two years ago, surprised many when she released her two books.
Twenty-one-year-old National University of Science and Technology (NUST) student Nobhenkimpilo Mbovora, popularly known as Vivica has penned two motivational books.
Speaking during an interview with The Chronicle, Vivica who is a computer science student revealed that she penned the two motivational books one titled “15 secrets of becoming a straight-A student” and the other titled “How to become a feminist” so as to inspire her counterparts.
Vivica said her dressing had everything to do with radical feminism, something people will appreciate after reading her book, “How to become a feminist“.
Last year, she sparked a social media frenzy with her risqué dressing after she posted images where she was scantily dressed in a group called ‘Fashion Police Zimbabwe’ on Facebook.
Vivica’s lewd dressing sent social media into overdrive and attracted massive criticism from most social media users. Critics deemed her dress code ‘immoral’ and argued that she was too young to be dressed in such a s.e.xually provocative manner.
Vivica said following the backlash she received from social media she was inspired to pen a book about feminism. She said the book seeks to educate women on their rights and argued that through her dress code she seeks to convey an empowered woman.
She claimed that she was not one to follow the social norms and practices that favor men at the expense of women.
She said she has come to realize that intelligence is not something innate, neither is it hereditary, but it is greatly influenced by the environment and self-determination.
Vivica who is using her social media platforms to market her books said she would continue penning more books.
