Speaking to H-Metro’s Entertainment & Lifestyle, the Chitungwiza bred chanter said: Self-proclaimed dancehall nurse Lady Squanda has vowed to repent as she carries “bad girl” tag owing to her offstage controversy.

“I have been through a lot my brother and I have seen it all. “Sometimes I am being portrayed as bad girl but in real life I am caring mother. “I am just a victim of circumstances and I vow to change my life.

“It really affect my music career and I have roped in Shine Nyachoto better known as Shineman to manage my music career. “Since I have a new manager I am starting my life on a new page.” The Ndinovhaira singer has vowed to stay away from controversy as she concentrates on building her music career and family.

“I am a mother of three (two girls and a boy) so these days I am concentrating on my family and music. “My wish is to give them a good direction and a better life,” she said. In another interview, Shineman confirmed working with Squanda. “I can confirm I am now Squanda’s manager.

“She has been in the industry for more than a decade and I will not introduce anything new but just shaping her career path. “Her music introduced herself to the people and for that she managed to win accolades, shows abroad and won hearts of many,” he said.

Shineman also told this publication that Lady Squanda recently dropped an Extended Play (EP) dubbed Zvawagaya and it carries four tracks. “Her new EP is already winning hearts of many and music lovers are already making dancing challenges. “The EP was recorded by Moses Ben of Simple Solid Records.

“Squanda is also working with several producers and she recently got an invitation to put a voice on popular Zimdancehall’s recording label Chilspot’s upcoming Riddim,” he said. He added: “Squanda is a loving mother and she cares much about family values.

“She is currently working on a documentary on her musical journey and the challenges that the girl child faces especially in the male dominated spheres of music. “Her main objective is to uplift the vulnerable girl child and to give them opportunities to showcase their talent in various disciplines.”

Lady Squanda’s new manager also vowed to change the ‘bad girl’ for the best. “Squanda is also into fashion and is aspiring to venture into fashion designing if she gets a tangible partnership.

“Furthermore the Zim dancehall Queen would like to send a strong message to the youths pertaining drug abuse. “She encourages the young people to focus on achieving their goals without being involved in drugs.

“Lady Squanda is a humble woman contrary to what people see or perceive in her music. “She is a humble person who pays attention not only to the needs of her immediate family but to all her fans.” Meanwhile, Lady Squanda is working on a new album due for release soon.
