Mavuradonha death update: Family members await autopsy results

Mavuradonha death update: Family members await autopsy results. Family members of the five found dead in Mavuradonha Mountains are still waiting for autopsy results to bury their loved ones.

The bodies, comprising of an old woman, her daughter and three children, were supposed to be transferred to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals from Mt Darwin for forensic examination to ascertain cause of death.

However, by yesterday it was not yet clear whether the bodies had left Mt Darwin for Harare with police saying they are doing all they can to assist the family to put the matter to rest.

National Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner, Paul Nyathi, said investigations into the death are still underway. “We are still waiting for the post-mortem and forensic analysis to be conducted and establish the cause of death.

“As you are aware we have a few pathologists in the country hence we can only await for the right time to get the results. “I am also to ascertain if the bodies were indeed transported to Harare for the due process,” said Ass-Comm Nyathi.

Ass-Comm Nyathi still maintains that the bodies were discovered by a hunter who was on his morning escapades on the fateful day.

Police identified the deceased as Junior Zuze (69), Moleen Zuze (29), and Moleen’s children Ever Nyamusoka (7), Joshua Wunga (5) and Pardon Mateyaunga (1).The family had on November 3 left Manhongo Village in Mukumbura Mt Darwin on foot on a journey approximately 200km away.

It has been established through investigations that the five were visiting Moleen’s husband Temba Muteyaunga in Guruve.

They were expected to reach their destination two days later but when they failed to do so, Muteyaunga notified his father-in-law Milton Zuze who initiated a search.

However, tragedy stroke and the five were later found dead on the mountain range that separates Muzarabani from Guruve.

Meanwhile, the police is investigating a case of murder where an officer was found dead at Eyethu Shops, Makoni Shopping Centre, Bulawayo on Saturday around 0130 hours.

“The body had serious injuries on the back of the head, right side and on the mouth. “Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police Station,” said Ass comm Nyathi.
