Songbird Ammara Brown has released a new song in commemoration of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. In an interview with H-Metro Entertainment & Lifestyle, Ammara vowed to use her influence as a musician to fight the abuse of women.
“The message is for the male abusers, to explain that he is meant to protect me from harm. “The song explains that I understand he was taught wrong from his own experience being abused,” she said.
Ammara said the song was also a pain-killer to those suffering from abuse at the expense of their partners. “Nevertheless, there is healing for all if we can sit down and show each other love, by mutual respect and mutual trust.
“As an artiste, I am communicating solutions and empathy through my music as a way of ending gender-based violence, I’m a devoted humanist. “We are responsible for creating a world where GBV is a thing of the past,” she added.
