Her parents divorced while she was at a tender age. She was raised by her father who was based outside South Africa for work. Despite being born and partly growing up in South Africa, Majozi proudly has both her parents’ countries’ identities and citizenships, hence, she is both Swedish and South African.
Like her late husband Shona Ferguson, Connie also has a Botswana background. Connie was born in Kimberly in South Africa where her mother is from. She, however, grew up in Tshidilamolomo in Botswana where her Motswana father comes from.
This means she has both countries’ citizenship by birth and by descent.
