Singer Tshedi Mhol announces going back to school

Afro-Pop singer Tshedi is back at school. The former Malaika member has enrolled to study a music business course at Boston City Campus in Joburg.

The singer, whose full name is Tshedi Mhol, announced the news on social media on Monday, 20 June.

The 45-year-old told the publication: “I chose this course because it’s in line with the creative industry, which I’m currently exploring.”

The BoMme singer said she was already a qualified teacher and wanted to encourage young people to study.

“Education opens up your mental spectrum.

“There are many opportunities for betterment in the music industry,” she said.

Tshedi said at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, she started taking swimming lessons as a beginner and was proud of having taken that risk.

“I have encouraged my daughter too. She is currently studying film production and editing.

“She has already been awarded medals for her brilliance. The Mholo clan has a lot to offer, passop!,” she said.

“I’m still available and performing at weddings and festivals.

“Look out for more news on my social media accounts, with the correct spelling of my name, of course,” she said.

Tshedi, who is best known as the lead singer for Malaika, said she could be reached on Twitter and Instagram for bookings.

“I have new music loading soon as a solo artist.

“It is going to be the best of the best from Tshedi.”

She said she was grateful for the love and the support her fans had been showing her over the years.

“I love you, all my fans, and would like to thank you for sustaining my contribution to this industry,” she said.
