United States-based Zimbabwean actress, playwright, and producer, Danai Gurira, is among the women named in the top 100 most reputable Africans by Reputation Poll International.
Danai was ranked number 21, while another Zimbabwean, Honorary Counsel for Zimbabwe in Scotland, Lydia Heather Mudhari, is ranked number 52.
Zimbabwe’s Finance and Economic Development Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube is also on the list.
The list features individuals from diverse sectors, including governance, human rights, education, entertainment, and business.
The selection criteria include integrity, impact, and visibility.
Other women who made it onto the list include Martha K Koome, the Chief Justice of Kenya, Marieme Jamme, a Philanthropist and Businesswoman, Joyce Msuya, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator at the UN, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former President of Liberia, Clare Akamanzi, Rwanda Development Board CEO, Carolyn Steyn, 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day founder and Agnes Matilda Kalibab, President of Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, among others.
