Coi Leray has provided some insight into her ideal love match, including her dating dos and dont’s — the biggest offender: one’s choice of grub. During a recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the “Players” hitmaker played a game of “Block or Not” where she was asked a series of questions to determine what she was looking for in a partner.
While open to dating Mama’s boys, she revealed she’s turned off by a picky eater. “I can’t stand going on a date and having to go to Ruth’s Chris or something because all they eat is some damn mashed potatoes and steak. Like, what kills me is when they say they don’t like sushi,” she began.
“It’s not a deal breaker for me but it just be like damn how don’t you like sushi? How are we gonna go to these cute sushi restaurants if you’re not gonna eat? You just ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Teriyaki Chicken — the California roll — like no.”

Coi’s admission comes on the heels of a potential suitor, Power actor Gianni Paolo, who revealed earlier this month that she’s his number-one pick.
“Team single for life — unless it’s Coi Leray,” the actor recently divulged to TMZ, before detailing the embarrassment that ensued when he slid into her DMs. “I mean she left me on read a couple weeks ago, which is crazy,” Paolo explained.
When asked what he led with, the 27-year-old admitted he may have come on a little too strong. “I just said like, ‘You’re my wife’ — that’s the opening line always. So, I said that. [She] viewed that, viewed my whole story — and I was like damn.”
“I showed Michael [Rainey Jr.] on set — because I was talking to her the week before — he goes, ‘Damn that’s cold.’”
As for their first date, Paolo boasted he’d grab a “private room” at Crustacean, a popular seafood spot in Beverly Hills, California. “There’s a minimum. Go crazy.” Although Coi didn’t drop any names, there’s certainly one man in her life who thinks the world of her — her father, Benzino — despite their rocky relationship.
On Thursday (July 27), the 58-year-old music industry veteran broke down in tears over claims that he’s a “deadbeat” father to the burgeoning rap star and instead demanded he is “proud” of his little girl.
When asked whether he felt his daughter owed him, he responded: “I got thick skin, man. I’m one of those people like, let’s just forget it and move forward.”
The former Source co-owner then became visibly emotional over the discussion about his 26-year-old daughter. “I went through a lot, man,” he said while crying. “And it was hard for me to be looked upon — like I’ve been called all kinds of shit, but a deadbeat dad? Come on, man.
“I love my daughter. I don’t want to be that. I don’t want to be known as that. I don’t care what people think, but that hurt me. That’s my daughter, I raised her.”
He added: “When people say I hate on Coi’s career and jealous and all this, that shit is like, man, it’s evil. Because my love is huge for that little girl, man. That’s my little girl, man.”
Benzino then admitted that he isn’t “proud” of arguing with Coi Leray on social media, describing their public spat as “one of the worst things I’ve been through in my life. I’ve been through hell.”
Towards the end of the clip, Benzino teared up again while speaking about watching Coi Leray’s recent performance at Rolling Loud Miami. He described the experience as “surreal” and said the only thing he was looking for was “closure.”
