Popular Mzansi actress, Zenande Mfenyana was a popular face on television screens because of her roles in TV shows like Generations and The Queen, so where is she now?
Born on 11 October 1985, in Kagiso, Krugersdorp, Zenande later moved to Queenstown, Eastern Cape, where she grew up with her family according to Briefly. She attended Queenstown Girls’ High School before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama at the University of Pretoria, graduating in 2009.
After completing her degree, Zenande began her journey in the entertainment industry.
She worked behind the scenes, providing casting assistance and doing voice-overs for children’s projects.
She even toured schools in Gauteng, spreading the magic of theater.
Zenande Mfenyana shot to stardom in August 2011 when she joined the cast of Generations as Noluntu Memela, the daughter of Mawande Memela.
Her portrayal of this character won the hearts of fans across South Africa.
However, in 2014, she and fifteen other actors were let go from the show due to a strike organized by the cast.
Not one to be deterred, Zenande Mfenyana quickly bounced back by becoming a voice-over artist for the Generations telenovela.
Her career continued to ascend when she joined the cast of Mzansi Magic’s The Queen in 2017. There she played the role of Goodness Mabuza for seven seasons before leaving in 2021.
Throughout her career, Zenande has made appearances in various TV series, hosted reality shows, and even ventured into film, making notable appearances in movies like ‘Liefling‘ (2010), ‘Kampterrein‘ (2017), and ‘All About Love‘ (2017).
Zenande continues to inspire fans with her African hairstyles, particularly her stunning dreadlocks, which have become her signature look.
She has also been involved in charitable activities, supporting causes such as the ‘P*anties & Bra Campaign‘ for needy girls and donating shoes to underprivileged children.
