President Mnangagwa warns election observers to adhere to their mandate

Zanu-PF President and First Secretary, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has reminded election observers to stick to their mandate and respect Zimbabwe’s electoral processes. He was speaking in Shurugwi this Saturday during the ZANU PF star rally for the Midlands Province.

The ZANU PF election campaign was in Shurugwi, the Midlands Province this Saturday where the party’s First Secretary and President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa addressed a bumper crowd in his last star rally before the general elections which will be held this Wednesday.

Cde Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe invited 45 countries, 17 organisations and all SADC member states to observe the elections but urged the invited observers to come with an open mind, not with predetermined outcomes.

He reiterated that Zimbabwe is well-informed about democracy and, no country can teach the nation about the basic principle.

The President also said victory is certain for the ruling ZANU PF party.

He also added that the Midlands province has many heroes who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the country, hence the need for party supporters to defend the country’s sovereignty through the ballot.

The Second Republic continues to register milestones as income-generating projects are being rolled out. 2000 goats were availed for chiefs, while a solar-powered borehole for horticultural projects and Tongogara Clinic were commissioned this Saturday.
