Zimbabwe’s Gems beat Sri Lanka by 79 – 49 goals in their debut match at the #NetballWorldCup2019.

Zimbabwe senior netball team, the Gems had suffered a blow after veteran captain and wing attack Perpetua Siyachitema sustained a shoulder injury ahead of the team’s #NetballWorldCup2019 the opening match against Sri Lanka.

The Gems needed a confidence-boost win against Sri Lanka in their opening match before they meet defending champions and 11-time winners, Australia on Saturday.
Sri Lanka has been to the Netball World Cup 11 times, while Zimbabwe Gems are making their debut appearance.
