ZIMSEC reveals June 2023 exam registration deadline

The Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC) has set 15 March as the deadline for Ordinary and Advanced Level June 2023 examination registration.

According to a report in the Sunday News on Thursday, candidates sitting for the June 2023 Ordinary Level examinations in public schools will pay US$11 while private candidates will pay US$24 per subject.

Candidates sitting for the June 2023 Advanced Level examinations in public schools will pay US$22 while private candidates will pay US$48 per subject.

ZIMSEC said registration fees are payable in South African rand, US dollars, or Zimbabwe dollars at the interbank rate, which will be prevailing between 8-15 March.

Posting on Twitter, ZIMSEC said that only candidates who have completed all CALA components are able to write the ZIMSEC June examinations. It added:

CALA marks are valid for 2 years. When they register for the next exam they must submit their previous candidate and centre number so that they can be accessed. They do not have to sit at the same centre, they can change.

If they are using the previous marks, there is no need for rewriting the CALAs.

Continuous Assessment Learning Activities are now a mandatory part of assessment therefore anyone wishing to sit for an exam must fulfill this requirement.
