A shocking video has emerged from an undisclosed lodge in Harare’s capital, Zimbabwe, showing a woman being bru_tally beaten by her husband on cheating allegations. The video, which has since gone viral on social media, depicts a heart-wrenching scene of domestic violence and abuse.
In the short clip, the husband is seen slapping the defenseless woman repeatedly while shouting at the top of his voice, accusing her of infidelity. “Uri hure, dzokera kumba uri kutsvagei mu lodge nemurume,” he shouts in the local language, which loosely translates to “You’re a who_re, go back home what are you doing with a man in the lodge.”
The disturbing video was seemingly recorded by the husband’s friend who watched the violence unfold without intervening. It’s unclear how the video was leaked, but it’s believed to have been shared widely on Facebook, eliciting outrage from viewers who condemned the abusive behavior.
Domestic violence is a serious problem in Zimbabwe, and cases like this are unfortunately all too common. The Zimbabwean government has taken steps to address this issue, but much more needs to be done to protect women and girls from violence and abuse.
No one deserves to be subjected to such brutal treatment, and it’s crucial that we all speak out against such acts of violence. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence or abuse, there are resources available to help, including hotlines and shelters.
Let’s come together as a community to condemn domestic violence and support those who have been affected by it. It’s time to end the cycle of violence and create a safer and more just society for everyone.Below is a video that has left the Harare lodge staff with more questions than answers.
