Video: Xolani and his Sizok’thola crew attacked & blocked from making drug bust

Xolani Khumalo and his Sizok’thola crew members were attacked while shooting an episode of the Moja Love drug-busting show in Rustenburg, North West, Zimoja reports.

Xolani hosts the DStv channel 157 show which cracks down on drug lords, syndicates, and other crimes. He does this alongside law enforcement and investigative journalists.

According to a source, the Sizok’thola crew walked into Coconut Lounge while patrons were enjoying drinks and music.

Pandemonium ensued when some clubgoers recognized the team as they knew that a drug dealer was about to get exposed.

“From where the crew was standing, they could see their suspect but couldn’t reach him because suddenly the management and security of Coconut Lounge blocked them,” said the source.

Xolani and his team reportedly decided to leave the premises, however, some crew members were locked in by the club’s security. However, they were eventually rescued by the Sizok’thola team members who were already outside.

“That man they protected is a drug dealer killing the youth yet management and security protected him at all costs. Cry my beloved country,” the source claimed.

North West SAPS spokesperson Colonel Amanda Funani said that a case of malicious damage to property was opened with Rustenburg police after Coconut Lounge security threw bottles at the Sizok’thola team and damaged one of the cars. So far, no arrests have been made.
