Amapiano producer DJ Mbali Umshove dies at 27

Amapiano musician DJ Mbali Umshove whose real name is Amahle Nduli has died. The family released a statement confirming that she passed away on Monday, 24th of July, 2023.

“We would like to formally announce Amahle Nduli (DJ MBALI UMSHOVE)’s passing. The family appreciates your prayers and asks for privacy as we grieve the loss of our cherished daughter. Details about her memorial service and funeral will be announced soon,” the statement read.

She’s famous for creating the hit song, Umshove featuring Kabza De Small and Leehleza.

The 27-year-old’s memorial service took place on Wednesday, 26 July, in Maboneng, Johannesburg. The family spokesperson revealed to ZiMoja, that the DJ died of an allergy.

“Some white and brownish fluid started coming out of her mouth and she was struggling to breathe, she was gasping for air,” the spokesperson said.

In an attempt to treat her after being rushed to the hospital, she died.
