Cindy Mahlangu shares a special photo with her boyfriend

Fans do not often get to see South African actress Cindy Thando Mahlangu and footballer Bongani Zungu gushing over each other on social media, because the couple has chosen to keep their relationship out of the public eye.

On a rare occasion this weekend, the Blood and Water star took to her Instagram to share a picture of her and her soccer player man. The couple, which was all-smiles in matching black and white outfits, took the snap whilst in the elevator. Cindy did not say anything in her caption but added a black heart.

In April, Zungu also shared a cute picture with Cindy while they were out having lunch.

Dating rumours of the Masandawana player and former The Queen actress began doing the rounds in August 2020 when they would often “flirt” with one another on social media. At the time, Zungu was still on loan to Scottish club Rangers FC from French club, Amiens SC.

In April 2022, the couple welcome their first child together.

In the same year, Sunday World reported that former Kaizer Chiefs star George Lebese and his wife Mapaseka “Melba” Nkosi had an alcohol-feulled brawl outside a nightclub in Rosebank, Johannesburg, due to alleged cheating.

A source, who was only identified as a police officer, said an argument broke out when Lebese accused his wife of kissing Zungu.

According to Rosebank police spokesperson Bongi Mdletshe at the time, a fight did take place, however the couple refused to open assault cases against each other. He said according to their records, Nkosi completed the GBV forms and was advised to obtain a protection order against Lebese.

In response, Lebese confirmed that there was a fight, but denied that it got physical. He also denied that the incident had anything to do with Zungu.

“We knew that you guys will pick it up. But it is not true that we fought over him, people are making it up because his football career is on another level. The truth is we had an argument outside the club over a phone call that she received, not because of that person,” said Lebese.
