AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, is filled with gratitude

AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, is filled with gratitude following her late son’s win at the DStv Content Creator Awards in Johannesburg on Saturday, 9 September. The slain rapper won the Song of the Year award for his hit song Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C.

Accepting the award on behalf of the family, Lynn thanked her son’s fans – the Megacy – for the support.
Lynn also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank one of AKA’s biggest fans, @RubuThulisa, for her unwavering support.

“Thank you for everything you do to celebrate Kiernan and preserve his legacy … I now understand his love for the Megacy, more than ever before,” Lynn wrote. In another post, she thanked all of her son’s fans for supporting him.

“Megacy you did it again! Thank you so much for voting and bringing this one home! Thank you for keeping his legacy alive and creating memories for Kairo . We love and appreciate you. ’Legacy, Megacy, that’s all that matters.’”
