A 19-YEAR-OLD Plumtree man is in trouble after he fatally stabbed his friend during a music argument.
The matter came to light on Friday at Plumtree Magistrates Courts where Mayenziwe Sibanda appeared before Magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Sibanda was not asked to plead to a murder charge and was remanded in custody to September 18.
The state led by Voster Makuwerere alleged on August 31 around 7 pm the suspect was walking with the now deceased Ntando Nkomo and two others.
They started a musical debate between Insimbi Zezhwane band and a Matonga band.
The suspect was supporting the Insimbi Zezhwane band, which he claimed was way ahead of Matonga band and a misunderstanding arose.
They pushed each other and were restrained by their colleagues minutes later they started again.
Sibanda pulled an okapi knife and stabbed Nkomo in the thigh.
Nkomo fell down and cried for help while bleeding profusely.
Nkomo was taken to a local clinic by his mother where he was referred to Plumtree District Hospital where he passed on a day after being admitted.

A-28-year-old man appeared before Harare magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa yesterday facing a marital rape charge.
He was granted US$20 bail and ordered to return to court on October 31 for trial.
