Fortnite Leak Reveals Original Map Could Be Coming Back

A Fortnite leak has revealed that the popular Chapter 1 map could be coming in Chapter 4 Season 5. Epic Games has remained dedicated to updating Fortnite each season with new content and map alterations, but an upcoming change may revert the map to its original state.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has just entered the annual Fortnitemares phase. Fortnitemares includes several nods to Halloween, with Jack Skellington and Michael Myers skins part of this year’s offerings. Fortnite leaks have been happening since the battle royale was released, with some seasons receiving more than others.

The aforementioned skins were leaked by dataminers ahead of the beginning of Fortnitemares 2023, but others are starting to emerge as well. One known Fortnite leaker has suggested that next season’s battle royale map will be an alternative version of the Chapter 1 island.

Fortnite leaker HypeX has revealed several details about the next season on their Twitter account. While HypeX doesn’t always nail the timing on Fortnite updates, many of their leaks are of content that Epic Games has added. HypeX has accurately predicted changes to the Fortnite battle royale map in the past, and they may have an idea of what’s to come. According to HypeX, Chapter 4 Season 5 will return players to the Fortnite Chapter 1 map through the in-game time machine. Based on the leak, players will begin Chapter 4 Season 5 at an early stage of the Chapter 1 map, and it will change to reflect later Chapter 1 seasons by its conclusion.

Although HypeX has stated that the Chapter 1 map is returning to Fortnite, they haven’t confirmed if this means the very first map or something that came shortly after. The Fortnite Chapter 1 map includes popular locations like Anarchy Acres, Dusty Divot, and Loot Lake. The HypeX leak specifically shows Loot Lake which suggests that the location may return at some point during the next season. Adding some credence to their claims, HypeX has also shown off various Chapter 1 Season 5 items that are scattered around the current island. Because Fortnite often uses themes for each season like this season’s heist theme or Chapter 2 Season 7’s alien one, Season 5 may offer more than just original settings.

With Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 set to begin in early November, fans won’t be waiting long to see if the leaks are accurate. Because this is a leak and not an official Fortnite announcement, everything from HypeX should still be taken with a grain of salt.
