Zim celebs mourns Gary Mapanzure

The music industry has been plunged into mourning after the death of talented young Afro pop musician Gary Mapanzure. The 25-year-old ‘Wapunza’ hitmaker succumbed to injuries sustained in a road traffic accident along the Masvingo Beitbridge road Thursday night.

Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the sad news, saying Mapanzure died on admission at Masvingo Provincial Hospital, adding that two other people died after the accident.

Musicians and fans took to social media to mourn the talented star who will be remembered for churning out hits such as ‘Pindirai’ and ‘Moyo Muti’, among others. Check out their heartfelt messages

Zimbabwean socialite Hillary Makaya has blamed Mars Zimbabwe for the death of Afro-pop musician Garry Mapanzure. Makaya reveals that Mars Zimbabwe demanded US$2.9k to ferry Garry Mapanzure from Masvingo to Harare for medical treatment.

Taking to social media, Makaya expressed her sadness and blamed Mars Zimbabwe for refusing to ferry Garry to Harare to receive medical treatment.
