Bobbie Jean Carter died at age 41 on Saturday and her family plans to bury her in Florida. A Carter family source confirmed to People that they plan to keep her body in their home state. Plus, they believe her cause of death to be cardiac arrest. Official details on her death are not yet released. Additionally, Bobbie Jean leaves behind an orphaned daughter who the insider reassures is being taken care of by her grandmother.
Jane Carter, the reality star’s, told TMZ on Saturday: “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time. When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private.
“[H]owever deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater. So, I would ask the sympathetic to say a prayer for my precious eight year old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.”
Jane lost another child, Aaron Carter, just a year ago and his sister, Leslie Carter, in 2012. Aaron, known as a singer and performer, was found dead in his bath tub where he drown after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam. Leslie died from a drug overdose. Both Aaron and Leslie struggled with addiction in life.
Following the loss of Bobbie Jean, Nick and Angel Carter are the only living House of Carter siblings. Angel shared a tribute to her late sister, writing: “Experiencing innocence instead of being burdened by trauma, pain, and suffering is incredibly important for children, particularly at such a young age. I know why Leslie, Aaron, and now you ended up in the circumstances that you did. I share that pain we experienced during our childhood and I’m sorry you didn’t have an opportunity for a better life.”
Previously, Nick failed to attend Leslie’s funeral after being blamed for the incident. His father reportedly claimed Nick was not there for his sister. The boybander hasn’t yet responded to the death of Bobbie Jean.
