Busiswa Gqulu announced as being part of Renaissance: A film by Beyoncé

Busiswa Gqulu announces being part of Renaissance: A film by Beyoncé. The South African star’s voice is part of the project, through the song My Power which she cooked alongside Beyonce, Moonchild, Yemi Alade, and a few others in The Lion King album.

“I don’t usually address rumours but since ya’ll are asking…  it’s taken me some thought to absorb this feeling too. I’ve been asked a lot this week what it feels like to hear my voice on Renaissance: A film by Beyoncé,” Busiswa wrote.

“Hearing my voice is all good but hearing my expression be the voice of Blue Ivy’s trial & triumph? Oh I don’t know why God thought I could handle that!  What a blessing. What an honor. What a joy to watch a mother peel the shell off iqanda lethu, show by show, right before our eyes she flourishes into a little star that she knew in her heart she was born to be . I’m so excited for my Own motherhood journey as it unfolds,” she added.

“The greatest blessing was watching little black girls all over the world seeing themselves in Blue Ivy & emulating the choreo, and the energy of My Power, while my voice becomes the soundtrack to their childhoods;their becoming Queens. Sassy, loud, electric QUEENS. I can’t thank you enough @beyonce .My Power is The Gift that keeps on giving.
