Jonathan Majors was seen on a walk with his dog in Los Angeles. The former Marvel star wore a mismatched outfit consisting of patterned, baggy trousers and a red gilet with a grey jumper underneath as he walked his two dogs around the neighbourhood. Jonathan is due to return to court for sentencing on February 6, 2024, and faces up to one year behind bars.
The 34-year-old actor faced four charges, including two charges of assault, aggravated harassment and harassment after telling authorities he found his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari unconscious in their apartment. While he was found guilty of one charge of assault in the third degree and guilty of harassment, he was found not guilty of another charge of assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment charge.
The incident occurred on March 25, 2023. Majors was arrested after police came into their apartment and found a laceration behind Jabbari’s ear and a bruised and fractured finger.
Jabbari testified that Majors injured her during an altercation in a car that took place several hours before. She claimed the fight began when she saw a text on his phone that read “Oh how I wish to be kissing you.” When she tried to grab his phone, he allegedly injured her finger and struck her head to stop her.
Majors pleaded not guilty to the all four charges. The charges against him are from the state of New York rather than Jabbari. He appeared in court with his current girlfriend Meagan Good and his family as the charges were read.
His attorney Priya Chaudry has claimed that Majors is innocent, telling the courtroom, “[Majors] called 911 out of concern for her, and his fear of what happens when a Black man in America came true.” Meanwhile, Jabbari’s lawyer Brittany Henderson has stated that “justice has been served.”
The actor was initially set to star in future projects with Marvel as Kang the Conquerer but in light of the recent charges, he will not be appearing in those films.
Jonathan recently claimed that while his relationship with Grace was unhealthy, there was “no abuse” during his tell-all interview with Lindsay Davis for ABC News. He also claimed during the interview that he never laid his hands on a woman and while he “was reckless with her heart”, he claims he did not hurt “her body”.
