Criminal charges piling up for Londie London’s ex-boyfriend

Businessman Sphamandla Mabonga who was shot in the ribs at Tempo nightclub last weekend has allegedly been charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and more, Sunday World reported.

According to the publication, Sphamandla Mabonga has recently been charged with two counts of murder, one count of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an unlicensed firearm, pointing of a firearm, and firing a firearm in a municipal area.

The businessman’s charge sheet was reportedly read out at the Alexander magistrate’s court on Monday, where he appeared. South African musician and former Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star, Londie London – real name Londiwe Siphiwokuhle Zulu recently confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with Mabonga. This came after the shootout at Tempo nightclub in Sandton last weekend.

According to Sunday World, when called for comment following the incident, Londie London was quoted as saying: “Please don’t ask me anything about that guy. We broke up. Don’t ask me. Call him for all your questions.

The incident at Tempo nightclub was due to an armed person who was refused entry onto the premises. In a since-deleted statement posted on Instagram, Tempo management was quoted as saying: “During the incident, an individual attempted to enter our establishment with firearms. Our steadfast security team, enforcing our strict policy against firearms entering the premises, denied the individual entry, leading to a verbal dispute.

“Regrettably, the incident rapidly escalated and resulted in the wounding of two of our staff members, as well as the said individual,” the Tempo statement was quoted.
