Mandisa Mkhize fires shots at Kelly Khumalo?

Senzo Meyiwa’s widow, Mandisa Mkhize, has fuelled speculation she’s thrown shade at his mistress, Kelly Khumalo.

The late Orlando Pirates player who was married to Mandisa and pursued an affair with Kelly was shot and killed in the latter’s presence in 2014.

This week, Kelly was accused of orchestrating a hit on Meyiwa during his murder trial, which is being heard at the Gauteng High Court.

In 2020, five men were arrested for the alleged murder of Senzo Meyiwa, which took place on 26 October 2014.

Senzo was shot by armed attackers in Vosloorus in the home belonging to Kelly Khumalo’s mother.

During the shooting, Kelly, her two children, her mother Ntombi, and her sister Zandie inside the home. Zandie’s boyfriend, Longwe Twala, and Senzo’s two friends, Tumelo Madlala and Mthokozisi Thwala, were also present.

Throughout the years, Kelly and those present in the home – have maintained that the shooting was a “robbery gone wrong.”

However, investigating officer Brigadier Bongani Gininda this week claimed that two of the accused had implicated Kelly as the mastermind of a hit on her boyfriend.

Gininda said during court proceedings, “[The] victim was murdered as a contractual assassination or hit, rather than a robbery gone wrong.”

Around the same time as the court bombshell, Senzo Meyiwa’s widow, Mandisa Mkhize, shared an Instagram post with a cryptic caption.

It read: “What are you doing? 2024 has started well”.

In the comment section, a few followers questioned if the post was an attack on her nemesis, Kelly Khumalo.

Mandisa and Senzo – who share a daughter named Nana – wed in March 2013. Barely a year later, Senzo had welcomed a love child – Thingo – with his new mistress Kelly.

According to a local publication, Mandisa said after discovering their affair: “When I saw pictures of them looking cosy, I got the shock of my life. I was heartbroken and cried hysterically. I called Senzo and told him to respect me as a wife”.
