Video: A look into Thuli Phongolo’s 30th birthday celebration

Well-known Mzansi star, DJ Maphorisa, and actress and, DJ, Thuli Phongolo are officially back together! The producer was one of the guests at the DJ and actress’ 30th birthday party which was hosted at Inada Club in Sandton at the weekend.

In May last year, the Mnike hitmaker was arrested for assault after Thuli pressed charges. However, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) withdrew the case in August.

After growing rumours that the pair rekindled their love, Thuli and Maphorisa have now been spotted together in the same venue for the first time since the incident.

In some of the videos of Thuli’s birthday party, Maphorisa is is recorded performing a romantic set behind the decks. The DJ played loves songs like Masithokoze by DJ Stokie and Eemoh.

More videos show the actress, who is also a DJ, dancing as guests sing for her.

Although the couple have been throwing hints they are back together, they have not officially announced their relationship.

In November last year, posted a mirror image of the actress on his Instagram stories. The photo showed Thuli standing in the middle of a bedroom with her back towards the mirror to expose her new BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) – a cosmetic surgery where a doctor transfers fat from one or more parts of the patient’s body to their buttocks. Thuli also shared the same picture on her Instagram stories.

According to sources who spoke to Zimoja last week, Thuli and Maphorisa spend a lot of time together. The source revealed that Thuli also often visits Maphorisa’s upmarket apartments in Sandton.

“One of the reasons why she agreed to get back [with him] was because he promised to marry her,” said the source.

Another source said the Mercedes G-Wagon and Porsche Maphorisa repossessed in May last year are back in Thuli’s possession.
