Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee announced on Tuesday that he is representing 120 individuals who have come forward with sexual assault allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Buzbee expects to file lawsuits in both New York and Los Angeles within the next month. The alleged victims comprise an equal number of males and females, including 25 minors, with one individual claiming to have been just nine years old at the time of the assault.
“This type of sexual assault, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation should never happen in the United States or anywhere else,” Buzbee stated during a news conference. He emphasized the long-lasting impact of the alleged misconduct, which has left many individuals feeling “injured, scared, and scarred.”
Combs, 54, was arrested in September after being indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. His attorney, Erica Wolff, responded to Buzbee’s claims, asserting that Combs denies all allegations. “Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,” she said, adding that he looks forward to proving his innocence in court.
Buzbee explained that after thoroughly vetting the allegations, his firm decided to represent the 120 individuals, with many coming from California, New York, Georgia, and Florida. The alleged incidents primarily occurred at parties where attendees were reportedly given drug-laced drinks, as well as during auditions where young aspiring artists felt pressured into compromising situations.
Reflecting on the significance of the case, Buzbee declared, “The biggest secret in the entertainment industry, that really wasn’t a secret at all, has finally been revealed to the world. The wall of silence has now been broken.” He also indicated plans to identify additional suspects beyond Combs, hinting at the involvement of others who may have enabled or witnessed the alleged abuses.
