Thobeka Majozi shares her reflections on love, loss, and renewal

Thobeka Majozi finally broke her silence regarding her relationship with rapper Cassper Nyovest on her 32nd birthday, sharing heartfelt insights on her journey and the challenges she has faced. The couple, who welcomed a son named Khotso, recently ended their relationship following revelations of Nyovest’s infidelity.

Taking to Instagram, Thobeka expressed her gratitude and resilience in a lengthy post that captured the essence of her transformative year. “This birthday hits different. The last few years have been something, and looking back now, I’m filled with gratitude. Who would’ve thought I’d be here? Not in pieces but in peace,” she wrote.

Reflecting on her tumultuous experience, Thobeka revealed how she discovered Nyovest’s infidelity while caring for Khotso, who was battling cancer. “At eight months, my son was diagnosed with cancer. An entirely different world. I always stood on protection and privacy, trying to maintain ‘the world’ and my world—it was a marathon on its own,” she shared.

Thobeka recounted the emotional turmoil of living in an oncology hospital for two years while her son underwent treatment. “In the depth of fighting cancer, I was hit with a curveball of infidelity. The woman knew me, my son’s condition, and made no mistake flaunting their relationship. After I found out, Cassper ended it with her and tried to make amends with me,” she said.

However, the situation took another twist when she learned that Cassper had married the very woman he had cheated with. “I couldn’t trust someone who can hurt me at my lowest or allow another woman to disrespect me. Considering everything we had been through, it was more about the timing than the infidelity. He later married her,” Thobeka explained.

Amidst this personal upheaval, Thobeka prioritized her son’s health over her emotional pain. “In between home discharges and a new project, I had to stop my life, put aside my own emotions, and show up for my baby. His health was more important than my heart,” she wrote. “Faith and family were the remedy to everything.”

In her post, Thobeka emphasized the profound impact that her faith has had on her healing process. “I landed in the center of God’s hands. He had me exactly where He needed me. I gave my life to Jesus. I entered the era of isolation. He placed me in His secret place, worked on my character, renewed my mind, and restored my heart,” she shared. “I’m fully in my Jesus girl era, walking in love and forgiveness. Most days are better than others. Yet peace remains.” With a renewed spirit, Thobeka expressed hope for the future. “I’m yet to see what God has for me, and today, I celebrate life—my son is cancer-free, and it’s all glory to God,” she concluded, marking a significant moment of triumph in her life.
