Two minors drowned in two separate incidents Mazowe and Guruve respectively on Wednesday.
Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha confirmed the cases.
“I can confirm two sudden deaths which occured in Guruve and Mazowe on Wednesday,” Chikasha said.
“Shein Makomo (10) drowned in a pool at Doxford Mazowe after failing to swim,he was in company of his three friends when the tragic struck while Moreblessing Shava three year old drowned at a nearby pool in Guruve.”
Shava’s body was found floating in the pool and it was retrieved by villagers before making a police report, added Chikasha.
Police warned parents and guardians to be on the look out of their children especially this rain season.
