Armed robbers attack man, take turns to s0d0mise him

A 22-year-old man from Bulawayo is nursing injuries which he sustained after he was allegedly s0d0mised by suspected armed robbers who also took his cash.

The incident happened in Bulawayo’s Burnside suburb on 26 December last year.

A source close to investigations said the robbers were armed with an axe, machetes and a knife. The source said the man who cannot be named for ethical reasons was attacked a few metres from his home at around midnight.

“One of the robbers grabbed him by his hand before slicing him with a machete on the thigh while one of his accomplices throttled him and punched him on the stomach causing him to throw up,” the source said.

The source added: “They slapped him while accusing him of vomiting on them and demanded cash, he surrendered his sling bag which contained US$20.

“After that they strongly warned him against walking on the streets at night and instructed him to rǝmove his pair of trousers and undǝrwǝar before two of the robbers s0d0mised him.”

They left him bleeding from his bǝhind and he later reported the incident to the police.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and appealed for information that could lead to the arrest of the seven suspected armed robbers.

“These robbers are from families that live in our society and someone in the community knows one of them.

“In that case we are appealing for information that could lead to their subsequent arrest. Anyone with information may contact any nearest police station or call us on 029-60358.”
