Sheffield Wednesday 1 – 1 Fleetwood Town

Sheffield Wednesday 1 – 1 Fleetwood Town. League One sides Sheffield Wednesday and Fleetwood Town face a replay to decide who reaches the FA Cup fifth round after a draw at Hillsborough.

Promise Omochere gave the away side the lead when he converted Danny Andrew’s cross at the back post.

Wednesday levelled when Fleetwood defender Josh Earl sliced into his own net under pressure from Mallik Wilks.

The Owls pushed for a winner but Lee Gregory could only head over from a Wilks centre.

Darren Moore’s side knocked out Premier League high-fliers Newcastle in the third round but could only manage one shot on target against a team who they had beaten 1-0 at home last Saturday.

A replay probably does not suit either side but Wednesday, who are 15 places above Scott Brown’s men, have still not lost in 90 minutes since 4 October.

This was Fleetwood’s first-ever FA Cup fourth-round tie and they will now hope to make the most of their second chance at going one step further when the two sides meet for the fourth time since Christmas Day.
